After years of work on the book, it was tremendously rewarding to start seeing the galleys and begin to believe that Crashing America would really get out into the world. I did fifty appearances—panels, university classes, bookstores, conferences, bars, you name it. It was a very exciting year of readings and conversations. Perhaps my favorite part was going out with other authors afterward and finally joining the club of published authors. At fifty!
